When it comes to decorating for the holidays, I have to admit that I always struggle with decorating the kitchen. Which is a shame, because so many gatherings end up centered around the kitchen, or everyone ends up hanging out in there. This year, I came up with a bright dramatic solution to that problem for Fall & Halloween!

That’s right! I hung a Pumpkin Ribbon off every single cabinet door!

Aren’t they incredible? I have to admit, I am so pleased with how they came out!

The best part is – they were super cheap and easy to create! The whole kitchen worth cost around $* and took less than an hour to do!

The project started, of course, with the ubiquitous Dollar Store foam pumpkin.

First step – (and by far the messiest) – slice them in half with a good knife.

Remove the little stem on top.

Then carefully slice in half.

Also cut the stem in half. Remove the toothpick,

These ribbons were about $2.00 a spool at a craft store.

Measure about half the length of your cabinet doors, and then add a few inches to hang in back.

The ribbons I used  had wire edging, which allowed me to fold a little crease at one end. this made it easier to glue them on to the inside of the pumpkin.

Carefully hot glue them on. Then glue the half-stem back on. and glue the whole side (including stem) to the ribbon.

That’s it! You are ready to go! Hang them over each door, and use a bit of masking tape to adhere them to the backs of the cabinet doors.
